Aldi hiring for management jobs in Pennsylvania

Discount grocery store chain Aldi said this week it is hiring for management jobs in Pennsylvania.

To create buzz, the store is holding a hiring event for its stores in Hermitage and Grove City, Pa., from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 to 7 p.m. at the Comfort Inn, 5425 Clarkins Drive, Austintown, on Thursday.

Interested applicants should come prepared to be interviewed and have a clean, polished, updated resume with all relevant experience.

Aldi said manager trainees earn $21.65 per hour.

The position will lead to a store-manager position with an annual salary of approximately $70,000.

According to Vindy.com, applicants must be 18 or older, have a high-school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate and be available to work anytime between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. Retail experience is preferred, and management experience is preferred for manager trainees.

A drug screening and background check, the ability to lift 45 pounds and the willingness to relocate within a 50-mile radius of Aldi upon promotion to store manager also are required.

Cleaning Services company hiring for administrative jobs in Maryland

PennDOT hiring for transportation jobs in Pennsylvania

PennDOT, the state department of transportation, said this week it is hiring for transportation jobs in Pennsylvania.

They are particularly recruiting college students for summer employment.

All positions are full time and pay over $11 per hour.

Requirements include the fact that candidates must be over 18 and be enrolled in college for the fall semester.

Around 18 positions are available in York County.

According to YDR.com, students will spend most of their time working outdoors, augmenting regular maintenance crews on projects throughout each county.

To apply, students should complete the personal data sheet, print and submit it along with a resume and proof of academic enrollment to Saylor’s district office by Feb. 8.

Company hires for HR jobs in Pennsylvania

Select International announced this week it has hired six people for various jobs, including HR jobs in Pennsylvania.

The new hires cover key positions within the Technology, Marketing, Accounting and Consulting departments.

According to its website, Steven Jarrett will join Select International as a Consultant. A graduate of Texas A&M University, Jarrett has several years experience in assessment development, with a strong focus on assessment and training implementation.

Also joining Select International’s consulting team is Jason Frizzell, who serves as a Consulting Associate. A graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, Frizzell earned his Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.

Beth Dougherty also adds her expertise as a Consulting Associate. Dougherty joins Select International with two years experience as a Training and Development Coordinator. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In this role, both Dougherty and Frizzell will provide support in the development and implementation of assessment solutions for Select International clients.

Select International develops employee hiring assessments and hiring systems.
