(more…) RCN to hire for customer service jobs in PennsylvaniaSaturday, May 14th, 2011Cable and Internet provider RCN said this week it will be hiring for customer service jobs in Pennsylvania and other locations. It’s already hired 57 people for its Plains Township call center and plans an additional 50 workers locally for more Pennsylvania jobs. That’s bigger than initial estimates given in January. “We increased the total headcount by 22 after further analysis of call center metrics. We’re striving to respond to customers quickly and efficiently and determined that additional headcount was needed,” said Joanne Guerriero, a company spokeswoman. RCN has another call center in Bethlehem, which is also plans on staffing with additional crew members. William Shelley, VP of Customer Service, said, “To that end we have built a second call center in Bethlehem. Secondly, by September of this year, we expect that 100 percent of calls into our center will be answered and handled by employees located in Pennsylvania.” According to MSPNews.com, the company’s primary service areas include Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, N (more…) Kohl’s open distribution center, recruits for customer service jobs in MarylandSunday, April 10th, 2011Kohl’s is opening a distribution center and recruiting for customer service jobs in Maryland. Kohl’s has closed on the purchase of a building for a new e-commerce distribution center located at 1701 Trimble Road in Edgewood, Md. Expected to open in July 2011, the 602,000-square-foot building will fulfill Kohls.com purchases, and Kohl’s will expand the facility to 1 million-square-feet by 2012. As part of the company’s continued growth which also includes 40 new stores and 100 remodels in 2011, the site was selected for its business-friendly community, strong economy, availability of a robust workforce and proximity to Kohls.com eastern customer base. C&S is looking to fill positions at its Aberdeen, Upper Marlboro, and North East locations. It plans on hiring around 38 people. (more…) Dish to Hire Customer Service Reps in VirginiaTuesday, June 15th, 2010Dish Network, a provider of satellite-based cable, is planning on hiring dozens of customer service reps in Virginia, according to a company statement. Dish Network plans on hiring specifically in the New River Valley. For its call center in Christianburg, the cable provider plans on hiring about 80 customer service and sales reps, along with technical support positions. “We really look at the volume that comes in, and our volumes increase with new customers. We’re very excited that we can have these additional jobs,“ said Matt Biederman, General Manager. |
