Company names person to financial jobs in Pennsylvania

Janney has announced an expansion and the hiring of several people for financial jobs in Pennsylvania.

The wealth management, financial services and investment banking firm headquartered in Philadelphia, Pa., has recruited advisor teams from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney (MSSB) with combined client assets of $380 million. Both teams, who also service clients together, will work from Janney’s Aiken, South Carolina office, a satellite of the Atlanta, Georgia branch office, and report to Jeffrey Paulsen, Senior Vice President/Branch Manager.

The new employees in the Aiken office include:

– Peter E. Sampson, Senior Vice President/Wealth Management

– Kenneth P. Wiland, Sr., First Vice President/Wealth Management

– R. Morgan Purvis, Financial Advisor

– Kathy Roberts, Registered Private Client Assistant

– Mary Ann Barrett, Registered Private Client Assistant

Bank of America hiring for hundreds of finance jobs in Washington, D.C.

Bank of America said this week it is recruiting for hundreds of finance jobs in Washington, D.C., bringing the number of financial advisers up to almost 1000.

As Washington, D.C. jobs increase, so does the need for adequate financial advisers to help consumers manage their money.

The hiring is part part of its overall commitment to enhance the solutions and guidance it offers to Preferred customers. These FSAs will provide the financial solutions and guidance customers need to help them manage their banking and investment needs and stay in better control of their finances.

Reznick Hires for Finance Jobs in Maryland

Reznick has announced they have filled a variety of finance jobs in Maryland.

Reznick Group announces their hiring of four new Associates to their renowned accounting firm’s Baltimore office - Jack Seng, Mike Ring, Jackie Kalish and Richard Armstead.

“We are excited to bring our new members on board, as well as re-welcome Jack Seng back to the group. Each one has shown the distinctive expertise in the accounting field that Reznick Group looks for in its employees,” says Chris Van Bavel, National Recruiting Manager at Reznick Group.

About Seng

Jack Seng rejoins the firm as an Experienced Associate in audit. After working for the family business for two years, Seng is excited to return to Reznick Group. Seng is a University of Maryland alumnus with duel degrees in Accounting and Finance. In March of 2010, he became a licensed CPA and is a current member of the AICPA and MACPA.

About Ring

Mike Ring joins the Tax Consulting team as an Entry-Level Associate. Ring earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Salisbury University and is currently waiting to sit for the CPA.

About Kalish

Jackie Kalish also joins the Tax Consulting team as an Entry-Level Associate. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from University of Maryland and is currently enrolled in the Masters of Tax program with University of Baltimore and getting ready to sit for the CPA exam.
